Spice MiTab: Price & Specs of Entry level Android Tablet

You have heard of the Reliance 3G Tab and Beetel’s Magiq, both budget competitors to the iPad, Xoom and Galaxy Tab. We now have yet another entrant: Spice’s MiTab.Spice Mobile, now known as S Mobility, have launched the MiTab, an entry level Android tablet. Here are the specs we could find so far

Being an Android tablet, it has an HTML Browser with Flash Support (ahem, iPad). It also has the WiFi Hotspot feature by which you can share your internet connection over WiFi with other devices.

Mr. BK Modi, chairman of S Mobility said, ”Mobile Internet is a revolution, a new trend which comes from the customers’ connectivity need to be always on. Tablets play an important part in this revolution. Tablets may very well be the 1st PC for most of the Indians. There has been a growing demand for ‘tabs’ which can do so much ranging from multimedia to social networking to even your official work.”

We find it a little hard to believe that the tablet has 2GB of RAM, as even high end tablets do not have that much, but those are the specs given on Spice’s official site. Apart from that, the specs are impressive. The addition of a GPU should make the User Experience a lot better. It also means one can watch HD Content on the Tablet. Coupled with a capacitive touch screen we are looking forward to seeing how this device will do in the market.
