RIM to release refreshed OS for smartphones and tablet
Canadian company Research in Motion (RIM), which is the creator of the popular family of smartphones balck berries, plan a new version of its operating system release for its smartphones and tablet playbook.
The company said its new BBX platform in the next generation of BlackBerry devices during the installation DEVCON in San Francisco Tuesday. BBX will replace the outdated platform powering BlackBerry devices and will be built on the QNX system that the powers of the playbook.
The developers at the conference appreciated the company's strategy to establish its platform pans and clear his decision to support his tablet in the middle of intense rumors that it will scrap the project. RIM aims to attract customers whoa re enticed by faster and more efficient units from Apple and powered by Google Android.
RIM also said that developers provide a tool to enable them to their Android applications are compatible with its tablet Playbook. RIM has not said when BBX software would be rolled into its products. It was also no timetable to advertise allowing the tablet to e-mail processing using Secure Enterprise Servers without being connected to a BlackBerry.
