First Impressions: Sony Alpha NEX-6

                                                 First Impressions: Sony Alpha NEX-6

Sony was the neglect of the Indian photography enthusiast for a while now, but looks like that's all changed. Sony has officially pulled out all the stops and announced the Sony Alpha NEX-6 availability in India (with the exception of five other cameras). We have lots of hands on time with the latest mirrorless offering from Sony and it is an impressive little thing.

Packing in a 16 megapixel APS-C size sensor in a compact metal housing, the Alpha NEX-6 builds on the sex of the NEX-3 and NEX-5, the only two mirrorless cameras from Sony, the Indian market introduced .

The NEX-6 packs in a hybrid AF system that ensures DSLR such as AF tracking when shooting from 10 frames per second. We did not try the burst mode with respect to moving targets, but we spend a lot of time shooting the flowers and Sony models had arranged to be available as subjects.

The NEX-6 continues the tradition of a flexible pop-up flash, but also brings with Wi-Fi connectivity and an ISO range of 50 to 25.600. There is even an OLED Tru-Finder built into the NEX-6, something the NEX-5R missing.

Sony has priced the NEX-6 instead competitively at Rs. 49990 kit (including a 16-50mm f/2.5-5.6 lens). The Canon EOS M is priced the same, but also includes a flash. Anyway, Sony's NEX-series garnered quite a reputation for himself in the mirrorless camera segment and the NEX-6 is one hell of a contender. If you are looking for a mirrorless camera, please watch out for our full review of the NEX-6.
