                                     Samsung launches new mirrorless camera - the NX300 3D capable


Samsung continues its onslaught of product launches for CES takes over. Samsung has officially announced the next NX series mirrorless camera - the NX300 which is a 3D-capable successor to the NX210. Along With this mirrorless camera, Samsung also announced a 3D lens that is supposedly the world's first single-lens 3D system.

Before jumping to conclusions, none of the NX300 not sport an Android 4.1 operating system, such as the Galaxy Camera. The NX300 features a 20.3 megapixel APS-C sensor, an ISO range of 100-25600, 8.6 FPS continuous shooting, hybrid auto-focus for faster focus, 1080p @ 60fps support for video files, dual-band Wi-Fi and a fast 3D-capable DRIMe IV image processor.

The NX300 has also upgraded the screen size compared to its predecessors. It now sports a 3.3-inch AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 800x480 pixels with 768K dots. It can tilt up to 90 degrees.


Samsung has also announced a 3D-capable 45mm f/1.8 lens are sold separately, that will work with older NX cameras (sans the 3D capability). Using this 3D lens with the NX300, you can shoot 3D photos and 1080p 3D movies. While shooting in 3D mode, two LCD filters to move in front of the sensor and flicker on and off for 30 seconds to create the 3D image.

The NX300 has a price of $ 749 (approx Rs. 41,000) while the 45mm 3D lens is sold for USD 599 (approx Rs. 33,000). Both are expected to go on sale in March this year.
