Samsung's first Bluetooth Portable Speakers with NFC
Samsung's first Bluetooth Portable Speakers with NFC
Samsung embraced Bluetooth and AirPlay speakers in a big way last year with the beautiful DA-E750 and its sister product, but surprisingly, the company has not rolled out a portable Bluetooth speaker - until today.
The Samsung DA-F60 is the company's first entrant into the booming Portable Bluetooth Speaker market. It provides the apt-X codec, which offers better sound quality as your tablet or smartphone supports. It also supports NFC, which makes it a little easier to pair with compatible phones.
The DA-F60 is compatible with Sound Hare platform from Samsung, which means it can be used as a TV speaker with certain Samsung TVs with wireless connection via Bluetooth. (Although judging by the size of the speaker, I can not imagine that it would sound great.) The DA-F60 has a built-in battery, but Samsung is not an estimate of battery life.
The DA-F60 is scheduled to come out in the first half of 2013. Prices not yet announced.
