Blackberry problems continued for day 3 and Spread to US

RIM, makers of the BlackBerry smartphone is feverishly working on a three-day global fault end as the issue remained on the third day, and now people in the U.S. have similar problems with their BlackBerry smartphone.

RIM Blackberry owner, the last error is due to an accumulation of e-mails to Europe from Asia and South America.

"It's a backlog problem," RIM Software Vice President David Yach says.

"Clearly we are lagging behind in Europe ... if you can imagine, with the global reach of the BlackBerry and the people who use it to contact others around the world, there are many messages to Europe from Asia and South America.

"At that time the backlog has built and influenced our other systems."

RIM (Research in Motuion) UK CEO Stephen Bates said: "Engineers are working around the clock to the problem." The large backlog of messages must be cleared by Thursday morning on the East Coast.

The blackouts have millions of users without e-mail, web browsing and BlackBerry Messaging (BBM) services.

The reason is probably due to problems with the RIM servers in the United Kingdom data center in Slough.

BlackBerry users around the world began reporting problems with their mobile phones mid-morning on 10 October and 02:42 BST, Blackberry sent Britain a tweet that said: ". Some users experience problems in EMEA"

RIM shares fell modestly on Wednesday. The timing of the service glitch could hardly be worse for RIM and Apple on Wednesday launched a major upgrade to its IOS operating system iMessage, an instant messaging service for users of Apple iPhones, iPods, iPads and some covers. It is a direct competitor to RIM's BlackBerry Messenger or BBM.

RIM service, BlackBerry users to send free SMS messages to other BlackBerry users, the devices, a popular choice among young consumers. This has partly compensated for the losses in the commercial market in North America and Western Europe.
