Speculation for months, Apple will be a near-field communication chip in its next iPhone. But when iPhone was unveiled this week 4S, lacked the mobile payments technology unit.

It was not that Apple does not want to NFC technology, but they apparently decided to wait for mobile payment systems more broadly, analysts said.

Apple officials did not respond to a request for comment on the decision not to take the NFC iPhone 4S.

Several analysts, Apple will not be hurt by waiting for an NFC-ready iPhone to deliver. NFC technology rolls out slowly in the U.S., and studies have shown that many Americans still relatively uninterested in the technology, perhaps for security reasons, it is noted.

"Apple took a calculated risk that the NFC will be increasing over several years, and not to be hurt if they do not take the new iPhone this year," said Mark Hung, an analyst at Gartner. "This effort has borne fruit."

Jack Gold, an analyst at J. Gold Associates, adds: "Given that the NFC and e-commerce of the phone is still very early, I think Apple has not really missed the boat on this in about six to twelve months in NFC launch . momentum to win, Apple has a new device that it contains. It will be early enough in my opinion. "

Gold and said Hung NFC technology in a smartphone is difficult and time consuming and requires a combination of software and hardware development efforts of a producer.
